Privacy Policy
Last updated October 6, 2026
DealHound helps you find deals and get alerts when prices drop. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google.
- What you track: product links, keyword alerts, target prices and your alert settings.
- Notification details: your chosen channels, phone number (only if you turn on text alerts), and a browser push subscription (only if you enable phone/browser notifications).
- Member prices: if you use the DealHound browser extension, the price shown to you on product pages you already track. The extension never reads passwords, payment details or other page content.
- Billing: if you subscribe, payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your subscription status, never your full card number.
- Usage basics: sign-in session cookies, and anonymous counts of clicks to stores (the store's domain only, not who clicked).
How we use it
- To check prices, match deals to your alerts, and send the notifications you asked for.
- To keep you signed in, enforce plan limits, and process subscriptions.
- To keep the service secure and working.
We don't sell your personal information and we don't use it for advertising.
Services we rely on
We share only what each service needs to do its job: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (email), Twilio (text messages), Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in, if you choose it), and Anthropic (to compare product titles for "similar products" alerts — titles and your search words only). Store links may include affiliate codes; the store then knows you arrived from DealHound, as with any link.
Your choices
- Turn any notification channel on or off in Settings, or choose none.
- Remove tracked items and alerts at any time; revoke the browser extension under Settings → Extension.
- Cancel a subscription from Settings → Manage billing.
- Ask us to delete your account and data by contacting us.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. Price history (which is not personal) is kept to power charts. Deleted accounts are removed from our database along with their tracked items, alerts and notifications.
Children
DealHound isn't intended for children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and notify you of significant changes.
